![]() The Pre-Selections are made up of 6 races. Alwas Pre-Selection FinalsĪlright, I now promise you the results of EVERY race from this point forward. ![]() Ondai mentions Satis being on Sangrar at the same time he should've been on Alwas, so it's very possible he - as Super-Racer - participated in every Pre-Selection Final, this would leave four unknown racers who join Rush and Spirit as the six unfortunates coming very close to making it to finals.Īlso, if we assume that there were 96 racers on both Sangrar and Darwar as well, this places the full number of species across the galaxy who took place in the Great Race of Oban at 288 in total. OR, more likely there were only four (two from Sangrar, two from Darwar). That would mean there were six other competitors - three from Sangrar and three from Darwar - who were defeated in those pre-selections. It seems most likely each of these competitors also defeated four other racers to qualify for their own pre-selection finals. All we know for certain is Ondai came from Sangrar, whilst Lord Furter, Ning & Skun, O, Muir, and Sul must've all been on either Sangrar or Darwar. Secondly, we can't determine what happened on Sangrar and Darwar since we never even see the planets. This tells us where certain other races placed. This means in each time Earth goes to race, that pool of racers has been cut in half. 96 racers arrive on Alwas and participate in 4 knock-out races to determine the final 6. However, there is a lot we can work out about the qualifying round that we're never told explicitly by the show. I can't tell you the results of EVERY race because there are 271 competitors we never even see race (possibly 269 if Satis competed on Sangrar and Darwar as well). So.Įver wondered who faced who in each round of the pre-selections? Confused about the tiebreakers? Always wanted to know what the final scores were of the Oban Grand Finals? Well I have ALL the answers.Īll right, time to admit to a small lie. ![]() We obviously know the results the Earth Team gets in every race, but during the Pre-Selection Finals on Alwas we don't see every race and in the Oban Grand Finals we don't always hear the final results if the Earth team get taken out early (Race 5 and 8 being especially egregious). I was inspired to put them up here because of this post detailing the Alwas Pre-Selection Results (I fully agree with their assessment on everything so feel free to check out their post and come back here for the rundown on the Oban Grand Finals). I actually did this years ago when watching the old DVDs but with my Blu-Ray copy arriving recently I've been rewatching and ventured onto here. So I set myself a little challenge to try to keep track of how many points every racer has throughout Oban Star-Racers. ![]()
